Feature List Things
- Make sure lead captures the spirit of the story
- Don't use an editorial or normal news lead
- Transition/quote formula after nut graph
- End the feature with either a strong quote or a tie back to the beginning
- Make a strong thesis statement in the nut graph
- Don't state the obvious or write cliches in the lead.
- Get all the things you need for the feature ready before writing
- Make the feature more of a novel-ish type of writing
- Avoid first and second person
- Nut graph goes after the lead
