1. The Labay family wants to demolish an old house with historic value that belongs to them and is too expensive to repair and is adding to their taxes. The Labay's are in the right. It's their house and if it's costing them unnecessary money. If they want to demolish their own property then let them do that? I honestly don't see the problem. Chairman Scott Marks proposed a compromise, "One possibility might be subdividing the lot to preserve the home while allowing development on the other portion." I guess this makes sense, but I still think they should be able to do what they want with their property.
2. UT and A&M have agreed to compete for the contract to operate one of the nations nuclear weapons labs. The University of New Mexico is also a part of this partnership. The partnership is in place because people think that for some reason it's a good idea to get more knowledge and know-how about a weapon that has killed thousands of people. It's unnecessary and a waste of our time. I hate weapons and everything associated with them. This is just like America to do. I am angery.
3. Cosby is back on trial for drugging and raping women. I think that the judge needs to keep an unbiased approach to this trial. They should not have told Cosby "good luck". You can't have a fair trial when the judge is clearly biased. Cosby's lawyers refused the use of old complaints and things of the sort on the basis that it was outdated and that the persecution should just call the women in as witnesses. I don't really agree with that. It doesn't matter how old the complaint is, it still matters and anything no matter how long ago needs to be brought up. I think this story needed to be on the front page. I know that sexual assault has been getting more attention lately, but it still isn't enough. People of all genders are being harassed daily and terrible things are happening, and we need to get rid of the opinion that the woman was asking for it, and victim blaming as a whole, and you do that by talking about it, no matter the media. The story has proximity and controversy, which always merits front page placement.
4. The school board at the former Robert E. Lee Elementary has decided to change the name to Russell Lee as asked for by students and the parents involved in the school. Russell Lee was a pretty big photographer, and started the photography dept. at UT. That name was chosen because he lived in the neighborhood and was important. A compromise was made for the kindergarten hall to be named Bettie Hall, for the first Black kindergarten teacher at Lee. There was only one dissenting vote, by Paul Saldana, so it was a little bit awkward. I am very much in favor of the name change. We don't need to praise and commemorate confederate generals who condoned slavery and the thought that poc are inferior.
5. There are a lot of sexual assault charges and arrests in the football program, and the University President Ken Starr is said to be getting fired because of all of this controversy. I don't know if there is really anything you can do except educate people about rape culture and what comes with that messed up way of thinking. You can't predict who is going to be a rapist, but if the person does have charges on them for that, don't let them into your school. They will be a danger to potential victims.

i am angery
I hate the Dress Code :)
The dress code, while necessary, is ridiculous. The fact that girls can't wear shorts or tank tops or anything showing tummy at all is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Not only that, but it's only reinforced in the bio sex female population for the most part. The dress code is harmful and teaches kids to be ashamed of their bodies and natural things like shoulders for god's sake."I think it really messes with how you feel about yourself because you are treated as something shameful and bad." says Skel Gracie, a McCallum freshman. Teachers and administrators use the dumbest excuses, too. They tell girls that they're distracting the male teachers and kids in the class, which is so disgusting I don't even know how to respond. If a teacher is getting aroused looking at a 14 year old girl in shorts and a tank top, then he is a danger to students. It's not the kids fault that the teacher is nasty. The same goes for piercings. At McCallum, the rules for that are a lot more lenient and you can pierce what ever you want and do what ever you want to your body, but it's not like that for a lot of other schools. Some schools only allow ear piercings and nose studs, and sometimes the ear piercings are only for girls which makes no sense. Some schools also don't allow for unnatural hair colors or really any expression of any kind. The dress code is meant to hinder self expression and body confidence and positivity and I won't stand for it.

other high school newspapers
1. I like the Arapahoe Herald the most because it's pretty simple and just very aesthetically pleasing to me.
2. The Arapahoe Herald grabbed my attention first for the mentioned reasons.
3. Sexual Assault: Something has to change because it's blunt and to the point which is probably the best approach to this particular topic.
4. There are 2 stories on the first page.
5. A lot of the front pages have a few pictures and some stories that go onto different pages.
6. The size of the photos might differ and they might have a table of contents
7. These were pretty similar to the around the world ones.

I love Hamilton!!!11! (front pages of the world)
Newspaper things
my favorite front page is The Washington Post, because it's simple and there is more article than photography which is good. My favorite headline is "In Turkey, the long, lethal reach of ISIS silences critics." I'm very interested in these things because it's relevant to me. These are people with lives and families and it's just kind of scary how this is going to effect all the victims who want to get away from them. 6 stories are on the front page. A lot of the pages have a big picture in the center, a horizontal small article at the very top and two or three small columns that go to other pages in the margins. The photo on this front page is pretty big and the text is pretty small in comparison.

oh yeah my dude
Current Events?????
1. The 20 dollar bill is going to be changed from Andrew Jackson to Harriet Tubman. Lew at first wanted it to be Hamilton to be taken of, but after the hit Broadway musical Hamilton people became adamant that the hero of the musical would stay. Images of women are also going to be added to the back of the 10 and 5 dollar bills, but only on one side so we can keep the good people already on there.
2. Flint Michigan arrested 3 city officials for tampering with evidence and misconduct regarding the water crisis. Neil Rockind said that it's rare because "it's very hard to find a similar case where people are charged just for being personally bad or neglectful of their job." The three men were charged for knowingly and willfully misleading the higher ups about the problems withe water, failing to order anti-corrosion stuff for the water, and tampering with the evidence. The mayor has said that they're going to drink the tap water for 30 minutes straight to prove that it's safe. Yeah no that's not going to help. The citizens of Flint have already proved that it's not safe to drink, so why would you do this? Why not just fix the problem??
3. Clinton and Trump both won the primaries and got almost all of the delegates needed to get the nomination. Although...a bunch of people who were going to vote for Sanders couldn't vote because the "machines were faulty" so I mean, it was a little bit rigged but whatever it's not like i'm pissed or anything ahahaha. Trump needs 392 delegates to be the republican nominee and Clinton needs 453 delegates. Sanders streak was halted by Clinton and Trump said that it's obvious that they are going to be the two nominees so everyone else should just give up.
4. A teachers union is suing the Texas Education Agency because the tactics they're using to evaluate the teachers is dumb and complicated and unnecessary. AISD is only using 10% of test scores for evaluation instead of 20%. A value-added model attempts to measure a teachers effectiveness by tracking the improvement of an individual students' test scores over time.
5. Volkswagen is going to announce the deal that they made to pay U.S customers. about 1 million dollars involved. The CEO said that the compensation will vary considering the newer cars are fine. The company has been polluting the roads even more by not doing emission tests on the cars, and they're probably going to have to pay for that. It's going to be a lot of money lmao.
6. Surfing dog catches waves in Port Aransas!!!
oh my goodness, a pupper. Two surfers got a dog after their daughter died and taught the sweet pup how to ride a wave, he's so talented ahhhh. Soon after they saw another talented beautiful dog and adopted that one too and taught her to surf. Im so proud! I chose this article because everyone likes dogs and I like dogs so very much. I couldn't just pass up this article! It would have been blasphemy.

Best Day in Sports
When my dad was younger and I was in elementary school, he played soccer. He was on a team called the Grackles, and whenever he had a game me and my mom would go down to the field and watch my dad play. It was a really good time for me, I met new people and I got to see my dad having fun and being active. Back then he didn't drink as much and was honestly a little happier. Those games hold some of the best memories of him that I have. When he would jog over after a game beaming and hugging me and my mom so tightly that we couldn't breathe. Cheering for him from the shade with sweat dripping into our eyes and hats to cover our faces. He was so vibrant on the field and I wish he still played. He's always so stressed and nervous now, and I think playing soccer was probably one of the things keeping him optimistic and happy. I miss that part of my dad more than I can articulate, and I want him back so badly.Wednesday, April 13, 2016
tfw ur really gay like reallyy gay
Current Events ahh
1. It was revealed that she was strangled to death behind the alumni center on the UT campus. This is the first homicide here in half of a century. We don't know who the sources were because they decided to remain anonymous because they weren't authorized to talk publicly about the case. The sources probably came forward with the information because they wanted to person who killed her to go to jail. This story is so big because it's got relevance and proximity. It was on our university campus and it could have happened to anyone who had been in that area at the time.
2. technology employers are giving men higher salaries than women. Hired.com is a website where people can get connected with jobs that they want or would be good at, and the employer and person can talk about salary and other important things. This website can see the salary negotiations that take place, which is how they were able to do their analysis. According to the article, the causes of this inequity aren't just sexism in the workplace, although that is very relevant to this article, but also because the women were underpricing themselves. These reasons don't change how I feel about technology employers and the workplace at all, considering women are selling themselves short because it's seen as bad to be forward and assertive with these things as women.
3. Gov. McCroy passed a law that said that trans people have to use the bathroom that they were assigned at birth, but amended it, saying that they should bring the cases to the court after getting such a backlash from the public. The ACLU were very angry, and immediately criticized him for not getting rid of the law completely. Bruce Springsteen cancelled his show in North Carolina after the law passed. PayPal, Deutsche Bank, and the NBA have all moved or cancelled things that they were planning to do in North Carolina as well.
4. There has been an 11-fold increase in the number of children being used as suicide bombers. As a result, people are starting to fear children, because they might be suicide bombers. Now children are being shunned and treated badly. The term suicide bombers is being rejected because the children had probably been brainwashed by the people in charge, or otherwise had no idea of the consequences of their actions. Boko Haram is a group of Islamic extremists that are terrorizing places in Africa and only Africa. Al-Qaida attacked other countries. They are exploiting the need to get ahead economically in children and young adults.
5. I read the article about the people who are harassing the Democratic Super delegates on behalf of Bernie Sanders. People have accused Sanders of wanting people to do this, and encouraging them. This is not the case. Sanders has said that he and his campaign have no ties to the people doing this and I believe him. Bernie wouldn't do that, he considers those tactics to be under handed and wrong. It sounds like something that Trump would condone.
6. I think that sports at this time is dumb, it's not important and I don't care about it at all. The layout is gross and not pleasing at all. I would cut the entire piece

I'm too tired to be funny I'm sorry
i think the fault is with the New York Times. Obviously the NFL is going to take care of its players, I feel like that should be obvious, plus what's with the whole tobacco thing? It has nothing to do with sports, and is completely unrelated. Retract that story my dude.
Everything is terrible
Storyline- keeps the audience reading and invested in the piece. Absolutely required to write a good sports article.
Context- gives a information and backstory about what's happening also called the nut graph, it's usually in the first paragraph
Quotes- take you further into the game and also let the audience see both sides of the story as you have to get quotes from both teams
Key plays- necessary to talk about key things players did at key moments during the game, so that you have those big important moments in the story. It will be boring if you don't have those in there.
Key statistics- used to propel main storyline/plot, use most significant numbers.

Mike barnacle's name is funny
Aahhhhhhh
Mike Barnicle worked for the Boston Globe, and was reported twice for making up material, and also not using attribution in his works. The first time he was called into question, he was asked to resign, but flat out refused. Eight days after his suspension was lifted another column was called into question, and that time he agreed to resign.

I Crave Death
1. Art Acevedo said that they had finished the investigation on the shooting of 17 year old teen David Joseph. Officials could schedule a disciplinary hearing for freeman as early as next week, or request additional investigation, or exonerate him, allowing him to return to work. The investigative report could only be made public if freeman was suspended for at least a day because of the shooting
2. Latinos are rushing to become U.S. citizens, because if Trump becomes president, he's going to be extremely harsh on the hispanic people of America, and it's very dangerous for them if that does happen, and also so that they are able to vote against Trump. Obama launched a national campaign to galvanize legal residents to take the step. Donald probably would have made up something about the families being liars, and that they deserve to be deported to wherever. Probably lots of terrible and trashy things ahaha.

wow what a good time ft. a plot twist
Life is great and I wouldn't change anything :)
The reporter who worked on the article on the sexual assult on school campus decided it would be fine to gloss over things and make stuff up for it. The reporter said thar people refused to talk to her, but in actuality the talks hadn't even happened. You may think that embellishing a story or adding a few made up things or WHATEVER is a good idea, but 100% all the time it's wrong. Instead of
Properly calling to attention the travistes that have happened on these campuses, she ruined it. People have started taking rape accusations not so seriously, and the same thing could happen to you and your story. Im sure Rolling Stone is dilligent in their fact checking and et cetera usually. This may have been just a lapse in their judgement, but they should probably start cracking down more on the strictness of their policies.

wow what a good time
I don't need this in my life
I think that the article was really well written, as it doesn't gloss over anything. Everything said-or written?-was meant to shock, meant to abhor, so that people would finally realize how serious this really is. Not to mention that this isn't just in schools, people around the world want to cover this stuff up and it's wrong. I think that what this article was trying to do, was to raise awareness about this travesty that's occurring on not just the UVA campus but tons of others.

Stephen Glass was actually pretty smart ??
Option One
Despite the fact that most of the people in out class think that what Stephen Glass was dumb-which in a certain sense he was-he also understood how people work. What he lacks in actual fact, he makes up in false humor and witty one-liners. He gets that if you are charming and funny and "humble', people will believe you. Throughout the movie, he repeatedly tells the receptionist that her lipstick's nice, or her hair looks exceptionally good that day, but once she leaves he says to whoever is in the room with him (and someone has to be in the room with him) that he should really stop being so very nice all the time and that it's a problem. None of this is genuine. Everything he says and does to his coworkers and editors is fabricated and said to make them think he's a good person. He's so confident in his supposed stories that to the editors and staff, there is no way that such a good story could be fake, which is how Michael Kelly acted when he was editor. Even on those stories when he's done exploding with humor and amazing detail, he sits back down and fakes low self esteem and doubt that its any good. Which may be why the staff were so easily convinced that he was suicidal at the end of the movie. After all, normal people don't show that much insecurity in really good stories that they've found. by faking that humbleness, he not only made himself seem more human, he also made himself seem vulnerable and a little sad.
When Chuck took over for Michael, he immediately saw through the act that was being put on. And because of that, Stephen was afraid and started telling his coworkers or "friends" that Chuck had hated him before becoming editor and that he was still going after him because his stories were so good. This instilled a deeper bond between Stephen and his friends, which made it even harder for Chuck to get people to believe him. Stephen later goes on to tell people that a good editor backs up the reporter no matter the reason no matter the issue. But this is not true. While it is important to establish trust, it is also important to do what's best for the paper, and if that means going to the places mentioned and talking to the people there to fact check, then you need to do that. You have to protect the paper. Everyone saw Stephen as someone young and innocent and to be protected, and this is what Stephen needed them to believe. But he wasn't and he played all of them.

teacher profile thing
Ms. Adamson
Diana Adamson was born to two classically trained musicians and went to ballets and concerts all the time when she grew up, but she herself had inherited none of that particular talent. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't find something she was good at in the music industry. But that was okay, her parents were supportive of her choices, and when Adamson said she wanted to become a dental assistant in college, they were okay with it. She enjoyed her job as a dental assistant, but she felt that there was something more she could be doing with her time. So she quit that job and started training to become a teacher, and ever since then it's all she's done and all she wants to do. Adamson has two children, Dakota who is 19, and Olivia who is 21. Their relationship is wonderful, although they do get angry sometimes and fuss at each other. Adamson enjoys her job, and treats her students with the respects that they earn, doing her best to teach the next generation of kids about literature and to realize the truth of our world.
300 words aaahhhhh
No T no shade no pink lemonade
The reporter did well with putting the story in a setting and developing out the characters, as well as adding a bit of conflict to the piece. The news angle was well thought out and clear. The voice came through very well, too. I understood what the reporter was thinking and how he felt about Jake, he also didn't leave out the nitty gritty parts of Jake. He was written with flaws and the story rang true to human nature. Jake was written doing a variety of things, and during that action, he was often talking about things that he used to or does do before becoming a total hermit. The reporter talked to him about why he left and what's been happening since he did. He asked about friends and family and Jake definitely delivered on that part. I think the reporter did an excellent job with interviews and getting the readers the information they wanted, and also balancing that out with his own findings and thoughts about Jake, and who he is outside of the media. The reporter had to hang out with Jake quite a bit to get the information he wanted, but also to learn about Jake as a real live person with thoughts and feelings. He did a good job of being fait to Jake, and not going into the interviews with any preconceived notions about how the interview was going to happen. He talked to not only Jake, but Jake's family and friends about what life there is like and how Jake is as a person. The reporter had a good beginning middle and end, starting with meeting jake and ending with the reporter leaving Hawaii and talking to Jake about maybe coming back to hang out.

im really tired lmao
I crave that mineral
- Have some sort of conflict, but it doesn't always have to be resolved. It's okay to write about an ongoing issue.
- Make sure you understand exactly why you're writing the profile. If you don't have a clear reason for it, it might not turn out the way you want it to.
- Set the scene early, and really just make sure you have a setting. The main character has to be in a physical location,
- Fully develop the main character/protagonist. Don't make them boring and flawless, people are illogical and make mistakes, include that in your piece.
- Learn as much as you can about your protagonist, so as to be able to fully tell the story the way that it should be told.

aaaahhh pt.3
Destroy me slowly
Ted Cruz won the Iowa Caucuses. Trump and Rubio have been pushed out of the top, because the people voting say that they want a candidate who shares their values, and Ted Cruz apparently does. Clinton and Sanders are pretty neck to neck in the running, and it seems like a lot of people are rooting for Clinton to win on the Democratic side.
deathdeathdeathdeathdeath pt.2
Feature List Things
- Make sure lead captures the spirit of the story
- Don't use an editorial or normal news lead
- Transition/quote formula after nut graph
- End the feature with either a strong quote or a tie back to the beginning
- Make a strong thesis statement in the nut graph
- Don't state the obvious or write cliches in the lead.
- Get all the things you need for the feature ready before writing
- Make the feature more of a novel-ish type of writing
- Avoid first and second person
- Nut graph goes after the lead

Feature Exploration
I liked both of them, they made me think about our society and the things that go unnoticed, but it also put me in the story. I felt sort of like I was there as a spectator. They both had good leads and endings that didn't just close the story, they make it stay with you. You can't just forget the story and the ending, it forces you to think. I liked "It's an Honor" the most, because it just connected with me more i think. I felt a sort of connection to Clifton. Breslin seems to focus on people of no alleged importance, he makes the people that most of us are too distracted or uncaring enough to look over. He calls attention to the people behind the scenes.

do not go gentle into that night.
Obituary
Sam Stephens, the author and artist behind many unique and beautiful comic books, died peacefully in his sleep at age 76. He was happy and healthy with a life partner like no other and two wonderful children who loved and adored him.
note: I'm sorry i couldn't really make this any longer than it is because that's all I really want? I don't really think that I can really expand on it very much. I'm sorry.

lmao rip me in half i lov death
1. Glenn Hegar is a comptroller and was asked by Sen. Royce West, if the sky was falling in Texas. Fossil fuel prices have been dropping recently and West was concerned about it. In response, Hegar told west that he would much rather be in Texas than in the other 49 states, but that they do still need to keep a close watch on the falling prices. He also said that despite the decline in prices, the state budget isn't in jeopardy of being dragged down by the energy market. Severance taxes take 7.5 percent of the market value for natural gas, and 4.6 percent for oil. The prices for oil and natural gases are going down, so the money being brought in is going to go down as well.
2. Donald Trump has decided that instead of going to the debate, he is going to host an event dedicated to war veterans and wounded warriors. The Iowa caucuses are happening on monday, and this Fox News debate is the last one before the caucuses. Im not sure what I think about his decision. I think that raising money for veterans is a surprisingly good thing of him to do, but the reason he's not doing the debate makes me angry. He thinks he has the right to be a sexist asshole and make excuses that that reporter woman was only standing up for herself because he thought she was on her period?! no thank you good bye I don't need this in my life. Clinton and Sanders aren't sure if they want to go to the debate that is now taking place on the 4th of february, which is 5 days before the next debate. The event wasn't sanctioned by the democratic national committee so the newly proposed debate may not happen.
3. Mosquitos are carrying viruses said to be causing birth defects, and the troops that were called in are going into homes and trying to exterminate all the mosquitos in the area. Zika and dengue are diseases that are carried by the mosquitos. Microcephaly is a birth defect caused but zika. The health minister said that the battle was already lost, but that just means that he's lost hope of containing the virus, and I doubt that the public needs that right now. The U.S Centers for disease control and prevention are telling pregnant women to reconsider traveling to brazil and surrounding countries and territories because of the outbreak. Brazil also recommended not getting pregnant until the crisis has passed.
4. UT professor Weinburg said that he was going to ban guns from his classrooms. UT chancellor McRaven said that they would be following the law, like you're supposed to do and uphold the campus carry law. The open carry law went into effect on the 1st of January. Justin said that the people who were concealed carrying are still doing that, and that we just haven't seen people carrying guns and other weapons around openly.
5. Ken Paxton is a Texas Attorney General, and he's angry because Obama relocated seven syrians (a couple and their 5 kids) to Houston without a one week notice prior to the relocation. Paxton filed a suit on Dec. 2 under the pretense of fears of terrorism and that the government can't accurately do background checks on all of the people fleeing Syria. Judge David Godbey rejected the request saying that paxton's reasons were all hearsay with no truth behind it.
6. Texas could win it's 1,000 game in the school's history if they beat Kansas on Wednesday night. It's been a strong season for basketball, and the only problem is that there are a lot of turnovers happening.
7. I liked the New York Times obituary better. I think it's a little more personable and not so much reporting his death as it is remembering him and what he's done.

I think it's a little more personable and not so much reporting his death as it is remembering him and what he's done.

i like this Mitch Albom character man
Writing and Things
1. The article is about reclaiming the attention that readers used to have regarding newspaper. Because we have technology and faster ways of getting information, newspapers have to start creating and stylizing again, so that the reader wants to read it not just for the information, but for the style of the story, the action and suspense. Journalists thought for a while that to get better, they had to copy what the competition was doing. But that is not the way to go, because the competition does everything faster than the newspaper.
2. LEADS
Leads grab the readers attention, that's all they're there for. Nowadays in feature writing, journalists are starting to stray from the outline of "all the information goes in the first paragraph", and instead painting pictures, scenes, and writing actual stories instead of dumping information onto the paper. Journalists use misdirection, which manipulates the reader into thinking the story is about one thing, and then switching the entire story around to get at the actual serious story that the journalist reported. Mitch Albom says that those kinds of leads "arrest the readers attention" and prove for better feature writing when it comes to making it come to life.
3. THE MIDDLE
Albom talks about getting away from making sweeping broad statements and just barely scratching the surface of the matter. Tons of journalists do that and it doesn't capture and keep the readers attention as well as a real in depth story would. He suggests finding a person or people and talking to those individuals not just about the situation, but their lives how the work what they do and how much they make. After getting that information, then go into the serious situation at hand. Make the story personable and intimate.
4. THE END
A lot of journalists who are just starting out, tend to make the end of their article blunt, to the point and very out in the open. But this may not be the best thing to do. Mitch says that endings work better if they're subtle and hint at your position rather than just flat out saying what you think. If the ending is good enough it will stay with the reader, it will resonate with them, and you will have achieved your goal, which is to create a lasting impression on the reader when they have finished reading the piece.
I always try to liken good writing – the stuff that I read that I look at and put it down and say “wow” – is like dropping a stone or throwing a stone in a calm lake. The really good part of the writing is all the ripples that come as a result of it. The stone is the paragraph, the ripples are the way that it resonates.
I chose this quote mainly because I think it will help me with writing my own ending better, and also because i felt this way about the ending that was written in the piece that you read to us today. These sorts of endings, whether or not it's a journalistic piece or a novel, always manage to have me staring at a wall blankly and just thinking about it and pondering what exactly it meant.

I am a Suffering Man™
And these are my suffering hands™
Alan Rickman is dead and so am I. He was such a good actor and person, and I just love him so much. He was passionate and strong and cared about people and he shouldn't have died. I'm definitely going to watch Harry Potter when I get home.I read the articles about Alan, David Bowie, and Amiri Baraka. All three of these people were passionate and caring and just ?? really chill people who made a difference in the people around. Amiri and Alan's article was a lot longer than bowie's, as they were less well known by the general public.

Pope Francis has nice hands
1. The author is writing about Autism and the struggle that these parents go through with children who are on the more intense part of that spectrum. The article calls to attention not just what this one person went through, but gives the reader more perspective on this condition and the way they are treated.
2. The article is pretty objective, it's less of a story than the one we read in class, but it does make sure to keep away from really inserting the writer into it.
3. instead of the writer just putting information about what happened to this mom, they take you into the life of this family and use a lot of sensory details that put you in the moment. As is you were a spectator looking through a window sort of.
4. The majority was based on interviews. The woman was dead by the time the article was being made, so there wasn't any way to see first hand the events that took place. The writer had to have gone to a billion places to get all this information. There is no way that they went to her brother and asked what happened. It wouldn't have been a good story if that's all they had done. They went to the jail, the brother, the friends, and even got to hear some stuff from the autistic child. It was some pretty ace reporting if you ask me.
5. "Sky sorry hit momma."
"Life with Sky these past few years has been very isolating for the two of us."
"Try spending an evening sitting in a closet with your back to the door, trying to hold it shut while your child kicks it in."
The writer probably asked what life was like living with sky, and how he reacted to his mothers death

my blog is pure okay?
1. A lot of journalists who are just starting out tend to write about data or issues and don't tell a story, which is what gets readers to pay attention. You have to think about a specific theme and add those human elements. While facts are important and you need to have them in there, you also ned to think about joy and emotion and humor. Anything that will attract the reader and make them think about the story you wrote.
2. When writing a journalism story it's a good idea to use or consider dramatic devices, such as drama, character, conflict, dialogue, order, anticipation, and climax. These all help to progress your story and have those human terms in there that will keep the reader hooked and feeling the things you want them to feel.
